What do I need to do to access the course videos?

All courses are FREE to watch.  All you need is to register an account on our platform with an email address.  

What do I need to know when I create my account?

Click the "Sign in" button at the top right hand corner and then click "Create account".

How can I get CPD points?

Step 1: Create an account on our platform.  You only need an email address.  Please do not share your account with others as it may affect the CPD records.
Step 2: Purchase a single course to get ONE certificate or subscribe for our annual plan to get ALL certificates available on our platform.
Step 3:  Choose your course. Then download the course materials to help your understanding of the course and watch the video. Your attendance will be tracked.
Step 4: Take the quiz with instant feedback to check your understanding.  Get at least 70% correct.  You may repeat the quiz if you fail.
Step 5: Fill in the evaluation form to give us some feedback about the course.
Step 6: Fill in your details to get your instant certificate of completion for satisfying the CPD requirements of the Law Society of Hong Kong. 

You need to complete ALL course activities before you can download your CPD certificates:
- Watch the full video
- Download the course materials
- Get at least 70% correct in the quiz
- Complete the evaluation form

Please download your certificate instantly after completing the other steps to ensure the validity of your CPD certificate.

Is there any time restriction for completing the course?

There is no time restriction as to how long you should complete a course, except that if you choose our annual subscription plan, you should complete the course(s) within the subscription period.  In order to get a certificate of completion, you will have to complete ALL the course activities.

However, after completing the quiz, please download the certificate instantly in order to acquire a valid CPD certificate.

I failed my quiz.  What should I do?

Don't worry, you can learn from the instant feedback and retake the quiz for unlimited times.  The quiz is to help your understanding of legal knowledge, not to create hurdles for you to obtain CPD certificate(s).  

I cannot download the CPD certificate(s).  What should I do?

Check that you have completed ALL course activities.   

After you complete each activity (e.g. watching the video, downloading course materials, completing the quiz and evaluation etc), there will be a tick for each activity at the left hand column.  If you only see a dot next to an activity, it means that the activity has not been completed and you cannot download the CPD certificate yet.

Don't forget to download the course materials - this is a pre-requisite to downloading CPD certificate!

If you still encounter difficulty in downloading the CPD certificates, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at admin@legalmarvel.com.  We will endeavour to resolve your problem as soon as possible.

Can I watch two course videos at the same time?

No, don't cheat!  This will affect the system that tracks your attendance.  The playing of two or more course videos at the same time may mean that you will not be treated as having completed either or any of the course activities.  You have to watch the course video one by one.

I have finished watching half of the course video but I have something else to attend to first.  Can I continue watching the rest of the course video later?

Yes, your attendance in watching the course video can be accumulated.  So long as your accumulated attendance time meets the required duration, there will be a tick on the left hand column showing that you have completed the course activity.

If after I join the annual subscription, there are new courses, will I be able to access those courses?

Yes, you will be able to access the new courses uploaded to the page as long as it is within the annual subscription period.  However, while we would endeavour to upload more courses on our platform from time to time, we do not guarantee the number of available courses at any time.

Do I need to be a lawyer to take the courses?

While our courses are accredited with CPD points by the Law Society of Hong Kong, you do not need to be a lawyer to take the course.  Anyone who has subscribed to the courses and completes the course activities can obtain a certificate of completion.  If your organization requires you to attend courses like those on our platform and you need to provide proof of attendance, you may also purchase or subscribe on our platform.  However, we do not guarantee recognition of our courses by organizations other than the Law Society of Hong Kong.

How can I ask questions to speakers?

You may ask questions through our community forum which enables speakers and attendees to communicate with each other.

How can I be one of your speakers?

If you have the relevant practical or academic or professional experience in any legal subject matters, and you are willing to share your experience with others, please do not hesitate to join us!  Please contact us via admin@legalmarvel.com. 

In order to obtain accreditation from the Law Society of Hong Kong, we will need the information of your background, course video, course materials (e.g. powerpoint slides), the quiz questions and answers.

What kinds of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards payments. 

Do you have any refund policy?

No, we do not have any refund policy.  Please ensure you fully understanding the terms and conditions before you pay.  If you intend to go for the annual subscription plan, then do not purchase the single course because you would be double paying for the same course!

What are the terms and conditions for using this platform?

How can I cancel my subscription?

Annual subscription will be automatically renewed on a yearly basis.  If you do not wish to renew on your next billing cycle, you will have to manually cancel your subscription.  Follow the steps below if you wish to cancel your subscription:
1. Log into your account.
2. Go to "Me" at the top right hand corner of the webpage.  Click "Account".
3. Click "Cancel Subscription" and you will not be charged on the next billing cycle.

How can I reactivate my subscription?

1. Log into your account.
2. Go to "Me" at the top right hand corner of the webpage.  Click "Account".
3. Click “Re-activate Subscription” to enjoy your learning journey again.
