2019, Yuan joined Cheng Huan S.C.’s Chambers following the completion of her
pupillage. Yuan also served as Marshal to the Hon Mr Justice ZERVOS (now the
Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal of the High Court) in 2018.

Yuan was appointed as Legal Consultant at the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in 2024, with particular focuses on international commercial law including areas related to Enforcement, Bank Insolvency, and Digital Assets and Private Law, etc.
Yuan is native in Putonghua, proficient in English and Cantonese.
Yuan has broad practice with particular experience in civil, commercial, insolvency and other matters. She has had hearing experiences both as sole advocate and as junior counsel in English and Chinese. Yuan also advised on matters in arbitrations with PRC elements and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and an Accredited Tribunal Secretary at Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). She accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work both advocacy and advisory.
